To find health should be the object of the doctor. Any one can find disease.
I am currently in a 5 year masters program for non-physician osteopathy at Swiss international school of osteopathy. My prices reflect my level of experience as a student.
I am not a licensed physician or D.O. and my practice of manual therapy is not meant to serve as an alternative to appropriate conventional medical treatment. Instead it is complementary to it.
Non- physician osteopathy is based on the fundamental principle that the entire body is interrelated and has an inherent ability to defend, regulate, and heal itself. Through the understanding of anatomy, physiology, structure, function, and dynamic bio-mechanical interrelations, we are able to rely on the quality and finesse of our palpation and senses to treat restrictions that limit the body's full potential.
It is a comprehensive Manual Therapy that is focused on how the skeleton, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue, brain and internal organs function as a holistic union, treating the cause and not just the symptoms of the underlying dysfunction or imbalance.
The goal is to gently restore the position, mobility, and vitality in the tissues of the body and promote circulation of all its fluids, including blood, lymph, synovial fluid, digestive juices, cerebrospinal fluid, axoplasm, and all the other intra and extracellular fluids of the body. This allows better communication and regulation between the different systems of the body and helps it to return to a more natural, healthy state.
Cranial sacral therapy came from osteopathy and is often utilized during treatment.
