The Lymphatic System:

River of Life

The lymphatic system is our body’s waste removal system, our immune system, a hormone transport system, and more. In Ayurveda, the lymphatic system is referred to as the “river of life” and it truly is the juice of our vitality. When our lymphatic system is under strain all of our systems feel it and when our lymphatic system is nourished and happy we look younger, and we feel more energetic. That brain fog, stubborn water weight, or chronic congestion is no longer an issue because your cells are getting what they need and getting rid of what they don’t. They are no longer under such a toxic load.

Today our bodies are dealing with things we would never have come into contact with 50 or 100 years ago. From our cosmetics to our laundry soap, food, and even air fresheners, our body has to process chemicals on a daily basis that we never have been exposed to before. No wonder our bodies are getting overwhelmed with it all. Our river of life gets damned up and sluggish, overflowing with debris. Inflammation and swelling or hardening around the debris it can't move out are the result of this overwhelm.

I believe that everyone needs to support their lymphatic system because we live in a world with chemical and toxic overload. I especially love working with people who are dealing with chronic, auto-immune diseases or inflammatory diseases because I struggled with Lyme disease and chronic fatigue from an early age. Finding lymphatic work is what helped me get my system strong enough to pull out of the cycle of chronic pain and illness.

Your body is a temple so your care should be a ritual. I blend a multitude of modalities into a two-hour experience. I work on opening the blocks and congestion in your lymphatic system but also your muscular system, energetic system and nervous system. I have studied three type of lymphatic work classical, osteopathic, and ayurvedic combining them all together along with classical massage, facial and cranial unwinding, triggerpoint work, sound therapy, cupping, hot stones, and guasha when needed.
